WAHM Day 3 – Wee Essentials

Welcome to day 3 of our 10 day long spotlight on all our great WAHM’s. Here at Top to Bottom Baby Boutique we pride ourselves on working with WAHM’s and helping them to spread the love for their products. What better way to spread the love than to give something away! We’re also going to have a 5% discount on each of our WAHM products through October 10th. (no code necessary)
Meet our third WAHM run business:

The Mom Behind it All: Candice Mangum

Tell us about yourself: “I actually got started in this business quite by accident.  I was making soap to sell at craft fairs and at the same time, I had just started cloth diapering my first son, who was 2.  I had some extra soap left over after pouring it in the molds, and threw the extra in an empty container.  I realized I could cut them in bits for wipe solution cubes, and when they didn't sell at the craft fairs, I put them on
etsy just to fill up my shop.  My first sale on Etsy was those soap bits!
Since then, I've also designed my own cloth menstrual pad line, incorporating what I thought was the best of all the n851935787_972862_9215other lines I've purchased in the past, and then several  other lines of washable, reusable items. My biggest seller is my soap bit line, but I also sell many other lines dedicated to all things cloth - cloth wipes, wet bags, wool wash bars, lanolin, cloth menstrual pads and my popular Ultrathin panty liners, cloth nursing pads, and more!  It's fun, and the variety keeps things interesting!

As a business, I know my primary goal should be to make money, and that's certainly one of my goals. ;)  But more than anything, I'd like to share my products with others because I know they have raised my quality of life while saving money.  Reusable products, like my menstrual pads, are more comfortable, while being free of chemicals I have found have had negative side effects on my body and my children's bodies.  If I can convince someone to switch to a cloth, reusable product rather than use a disposable product - even if they go somewhere else to buy it - I have met my goal!”

I plan to use them with baby, we already don't use paper towels and I use cloth mentrual pads and we will definetly use cloth diapers for baby so I don't see any reason why not to use cloth wipes!

I love cloth wipes! I have Thirsties and Monkey Snuggles ones. I keep them in an old disposable wipes container with some great Wee Essentials cube solution.

I keep the wipes stacked on the changing table and the wipe solution in a spray bottle. I just spray the wipe as needed and wipe away. Easy peasy and I don't have to worry about storing a solution or figuring out how to wet the wipes. And it smells good!

It depends on where we are. We used to just wet our wipes with water, but now we have a little spritzer I make my own solution with.

Kiddo hasn't arrived yet (I'm due in Jan.), but we're going to use cloth wipes. We'll have a giant pile of poop laundry—what's a few more pieces? lol
